DIY Balloon Garland for Beginners

Learn the effortless strip-free method to construct a stylish wall garland.

Materials

  • 25 × Matte eucalyptus balloons (12 inch)
  • 25 × Matte white balloons (12 inch)
  • 15 × Gold 5-inch mini balloons
  • 1 roll × 260Q tie balloons or fishing line

Tools

  • Electric dual pump
  • Wall Command hooks

Steps

  1. 01

    Inflate in pairs

Inflate two balloons at once to slightly different sizes and tie their necks together into duos.

  2. 02

    Twist duos into quads

Cross two duos over each other and twist to make sturdy 4-balloon clusters.

  3. 03

    Bind quads together

Wrap fishing line or a 260Q around centers of consecutive quads to form a dense garland rope.

Tips

  • Blow up balloons to 80% capacity for a softer, matte, round shape instead of pear-shaped.

Common mistakes

  • Tying balloons with string too loosely, leaving visible spaces between clusters.
